I'm having fun now! It's always the same - in the run up to an exhibition, when you know your'e on the home run and you've got the majority of the paintings framed and ready - you always start turning out some good stuff. The invites have been printed, the Christmas cards have arrived, the print browsers have been put together...
I've drawn the high altar many times, and painted the floor tiles for 'The Choir' looking the other way, so I knew my subject pretty well. I left much detail out of the high altar screen as the focus is on the tiles in the foreground, and it's also quite a distance away. The tiles maybe are a bit warm, but it makes for a nice composition.
