This has been on the back burner for quite a while - I'd prepared this drawing in January, but just didn't get a chance to do it. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out - I like the composition and the way it falls down in steps to the bottom right.
I'm working on my entry for the Threadneedle Prize at the moment - it's top secret but it's big and I'm going to have to do it in sections. I've got four big boards ready for stretching some paper. The egg tempera icon is being left to harden a bit. I think I should have used Cennini's gesso recipe and not a modern acrylic one. It hasn't been very successful but I got the hang of gilding which was quite fun in the end...
