Gosh shall I quote myself?
"I'm not going to be doing any more of the Abbey in the near future..."
Ha ha who was I kidding! I've got at least another three lined up in the studio. This is a pair to the last one. These two plus a new look at the South Transept, The Choir (Before Evensong), a new one of the North Ambulatory and the old Wallingford Clock are going to be submitted to the RI in Feb. God Bless Michael from Picture Post! I thought I'd submit a group all of the same theme. Fingers crossed.
It's Christmas Eve and I was lucky enough to sit iin the choir stalls last night at the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols...it was a totally new view for me and seeing the Abbey lit up by candlelight is always a treat. The music, as always, was exquisite with some forays into less traditional territory - Rachmaninov's Rejoice O Virgin was a heart racing triumph!
